Boxing Updates Ratings are compiled by the social media team's panel. The panel is made up of boxing journalists, historians, fans, and individuals directly involved in the sport. Each member submits an individual list of rankings, which is then scored. An average score is calculated to produce the preliminary list. From there, the team discusses and negotiates any small adjustments.

The rankings are revisited on the 1st of every month, although changes can occur sooner if fighters compete.

The list is primarily based on fight results. After that, we consider the fighter's performance in the bout—looking at the type of win and how it was achieved. Finally, we review their overall record, taking into account the quality of opponents and their consistency.
